Lasswade High School, Midlothian

Lasswade High School came together to celebrate European Day of Languages, with a special focus on the vibrant Spanish language.

Cultural Fusion Showcase

Our Mandarin teachers made an appearance in traditional Spanish attire, wearing a badge on their chest that showcased their linguistic skill: fluent Mandarin. This was not only a celebration of linguistic diversity but also a tribute to cultural integration.

Creative Poster Contest

In the classroom, we encouraged students to unleash their creativity by designing posters themed around the Spanish language. Each poster was an exploration of the unique charm of Spanish and a display of their passion for language learning.

We have displayed the students' impressive poster creations on the school walls, allowing the entire campus to feel the charm of the language day event. At the same time, we will also showcase these photos on the school bulletin board and social media, so more people can feel the beauty of this day.

Capturing Memorable Moments

After the event, we took photos of the students' poster creations, capturing their creativity and effort. We also took a group photo of all the language teachers to thank them for their contribution to language education.

Thank You

Thank you to all the teachers and students who participated in and supported this event; it's your involvement that made this day so special. Let's look forward to the next language day event and continue to sail in the ocean of languages!
